"The inspiration for Shades of Africa parasols came from a year travelling in Southern and East Africa. As we passed through the game parks of South Africa, Botswana and Namibia and the beautiful beaches of Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and finally Kenya, I felt I wanted to capture something of the romance of Africa and bring it back home with me.

The thatched parasols also recreate a little of the rustic nature of Africa. In a simple way, they bring a small piece of the safari or beach lifestyle home."
